parasiteplanet: Nobuhiko Obayashi, director of Hausu, directed a film version of mangaka Kazuo Umezu’s The Drifting Classroom. It was not given a wide release even in Japan, and not released on DVD, but right now they’re doing a bunch of screenings of Obayashi-san’s work down at Cinefamily in LA, and he was there for some Q&A!
