SO EXCITED THIS IS NOW ANNOUNCED! One of my best friends, the multi-talented Anne Ishii, will be translating and producing a collection of Gengoroh Tagame-manga with Chip Kidd for release next year. The book is being published by PictureBox and is going to be a landmark manga-in-English title, no joke. Thickness #3, the final issue of our erotic comics anthology, marked the first ever publication of Tagame’s work (and “bara” as a genre) in English. It features his short story, “STANDING OVATIONS” with hand-lettering by Michael DeForge. (And Anne was instrumental in Tagame’s participation in our book too!)
